This complete course helps you learn to teach story writing by breaking down story writing into 5 developmentally appropriate elements: descriptive language, genre, character development, plot structure, and planning.

In these videos I will explain why these elements need to be explicitly taught, and I will give you activities that you can use in your classroom to teach these elements and help your students practice them to solidify their understanding.

You will also get a bundle of 40+ pages of resources for you to use directly in your class with your students. All (almost) the prepping and planning is done for you! The activities and content are appropriate for Grades 5-9 (with some slight modifications depending on your demographic).

And lastly, I provide you with a workbook to help you organize your thoughts, encourage you to brainstorm, and motivate you to plan out your mini-units using the information and activities provided.

This course is appropriate for anyone teaching Gr 5-9 English Language Arts, French Language Arts, French Core, FSL and wanting to learn to teach story writing effectively.
